The given bar graph provides information about last year’s Australian employees, as compared by job type and sex. Overall, it can be observed that men employment surpassed women’s in fairly every field, with only few exceptions.
As a matter of fact, going more into detail, the chart displays that the only two profession types in which the number of the females employed was higher than the males’ one were the clerical jobs, and professional roles. However, in both cases, the difference was quite negligible when compared to the other job positions in which the amount of male workers was significantly higher than that of their female counterparts.
The most impressive gap, in fact, regarded tradespeople, where only 1 out of 9 were female representatives, and production activities, where only 100 women out of 550 accounted as work force. For all other works, the difference was less remarkable, amounting to roughly a small 10%.
