The graph compares the generation of electricity between two countries in term of three important categories during 2009.
Overall, it can be seen that the amount of electricity generated in German slightly higher rather than France about 560 billion kWh and 510 billion kWh respectively.
As the graph shows, the highest proportion of electricity was for thermal in France, at 59.6%. Meanwhile, that accounted for merely 10.3% in German. The biggest percentage of generated electricity in France was for nuclear, at 76%. While that was for German about 23%. The rate of generation of electricity from renewables for both countries was relatively similar 13.7% for France and 17.4% for German.
In detail, renewables include four important categories, namely hydroelectric, wind, biomass and solar. The greatest amount for France was Hydroelectric approximately 80.5%. As, it account for 17.7% for German. Regarding wind and biomass, both of them had relatively percentage for German about 39.3% and 39.65 respectively. The amount of solar for either of countries can be ignored.
