The process diagram demonstrates brick manufacturing for the construction industry. It has been seen that, producing bricks involves the seven stages, starting for the extraction of clay and ending with the delivery of the finished bricks.
The first stage, clay is extracted from the ground using a digger. After the mining materials, it is then placed on a metal grid, which breaks it into smaller pieces. Afterwards this sand and water are added to the clay, and the mixture is shaped into bricks. This is done either by using a wire cutter or by pouring the mixture into molds.
When the bricks are formed, they put the finished product in the drying oven and stay there for 24 – 48 hours. After drying, the bricks are transferred to kilns for firing. In the kilns they are heated at moderate temperatures 200 – 900 degrees celsius, before being exposed to high temperatures 870-1300 degrees celsius. This process hardens the bricks. Once firing is complete, the bricks are cooled in a cooling chamber for 48 – 72 hours.
In the final stages, the brick are packaged and loaded onto delivery trucks for distribution. Overall, the process ensures that high quality bricks are produced through careful heating and cooling steps.
