Band 4+: Directors of large companies often receive much bigger salary increases than ordinary workers. Employers' organizations say that in global market this is necessary to attract the best management talent. What are your views?

As per the employers’ organization it is crucial to provide huge salary increment to the directors of big companies rather than ordinary employee. This is because it encourages the commendable talents to join the company. I personally agree to this statement. Huge payment can motivate people to do work. Similarly, it fulfils their needs either basic or luxury in today’s inflation.

In recent years, immense manpower enters the business or companies as an employee. Meanwhile, in greater companies the workload is heavy and a lot hectic specially in high posts. If the wage is low, then it demotivates the workforce from doing anything, as they think that they deserve higher payment for the work they perform. So, in such scenario it is crucial that, people in higher position receive good amount. For instance, my brother worked in a multinational company and he had a great reputation. However, he felt that he is not getting what he deserves to be paid so, he joined a new company that offered raise in wage in every six months. This clarifies that, the talented workforce is attracted by increment in salary.

Furthermore, inflation has been a major issue in this time. People have their own needs for food and other luxurious activities like vacation in different countries, which requires money. Hence, in the market, employee with good experience and talent seeks good salaries for sophisticated life. Since the growth of employee in the company is directly related to the growth of the company as well, so offering good price is beneficial to both persons working in the company and also company’s status. Such as researched in Belgium revealed that 73% of people tend to shift the job when they find better opportunity for salary.

To sum up, higher payments provide encouragement to work with more passion for company’s upliftment as well as favors various requirement of people for daily life. Henceforth, it is vital to raise the wages in certain interval.
