Some individuals are of the view that they have faced more complexity in everyday life because of technology, whereas others feel that they have run their lives more easily in favor of technology. In this essay, I will examine both sides of the argument and provide an overall opinion.
Generally speaking, there are two main reasons why people believe that the impact of technological advancement has created a critical situation in their daily activities. Perhaps the main reason why people are in favour of this belief is because technology creates a severe security concern. A good illustration of this is that because of technological development, most countries’ banking systems are now fully online-based and due to a lack of proper technological knowledge many individuals are robbed by hackers and lose their money. A further point against technology is that it hampers daily activities with technological devices like smartphones, computers, TV and many more, which distract people and reduce people’s productivity. For example, due to addiction to social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and online games, many students lose focus on their studies and it hampers their career progression.
Despite these arguments, many people feel that technology has played a vital role in making life easier for several reasons. The main reason why people think about that is because it makes communication easier and faster than past. For instance, nowadays any person can communicate with others through technological devices like smartphones and social online platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook within a second. Another striking point is that Because of technological advancement people use automated robots which complete tasks faster and more accurately than individuals. Moreover, many students who do not have enough financial ability or opportunity to obtain higher education can now pursue higher degrees through online courses over the Internet.
In conclusion, technology is a topic that is very relevant to the modern world. Despite arguments to the contrary, I very strongly feel that technology is a blessing for the modern world. Despite some drawbacks, without technology, the modern world cannot run properly.
