Most countries such as Japan and Korea are known to have one of the most overworked workers in the world. This causes high suicide rates and mental health issues. Therefore, some countries have introduced laws to limit working hours for employees. Thus, this essay thinks that such laws are beneficial to the working environment as it focuses more on the employee’s health and mind, while boosting work efficiency.
In countries that have long working hours, workers tend to be stressed and have less time to enjoy themselves. Due to overworking, workers mental mind are severely affected leading to mental health issues such as depression or sleeping disorder. Additionally, work efficiency decreases as workers tend to get tired easily. Therefore, some countries have implemented such laws to prevent those situations.
When workers work at a good amount of time, they get to relax more and enjoy more entertainment for themselves. They will be able to work efficiently as their mental state is in a good condition. This makes working environment much more lively and productive. For instance, a worker who worked for 7h a day will have a much better mental state compared to a worker who worked for 12h a day. A worker who worked 7h a day also has much more free time compared to a worker who worked 12h a day.
In conclusion, implementing such laws will not only benefit the workers, but it will also benefit the company as it boosts work productivity. Workers will have a balanced working life, keeping their mental state in a good condition, while boosting the company’s productivity.
