The diagrams illustrate the changes that occurred at a library between 2001 and 2009.
Overall, one can see that the library had been enhanced to be the more modern one with different types of books and facilities.
Looking at the maps more closely, on the northern side of the library, there was a fiction bookshelf which had been converted into a shelf of children’s books with a children’s area below it. The historical and self-help bookshelves located in the western part of the library, with the former being changed to contain self-help, kitchen, economics, and law books while the historical and fiction books had been placed on the latter.
There were 8 small tables in the middle of the library that had been replaced by 4 long ones. The newspapers and periodical bookshelf located in the east of the library had been removed to make way for a shelf of films and DVDs, and a couple of computers had been installed below it. Moreover, the librarian’s desk, stairs, and entrance remained unchanged in the southern part throughout the period from 2001 to 2009.
