The pie chart provides a breakdown of the changes in energy production in a country in terms of percentage in a particular country from 1983 to 2003.
From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that natural gas and nuclear power experienced an upward trend, whereas coal and oil witnessed the opposite. Despite this decline trajectory, oil constituted the lion’s share in both years.
Regarding sources that reported a decrease, coal contributed nearly a quarter to the entire production of this nation, which then dropped noticeably by 10% over 2 decades. A similar trajectory could be observed in the figure representing oil, albeit at a slower rate, which fell from 42% to 38% over the same time span.
As for the remaining categories, the rise reported in nuclear power’s statistic was 4%, reaching just under one forth by 2003. Likewise, natural gas accounted for roughly one tenth of the total, which doubled by the same year. Hydro power, on the other hand, remained stable throughout the 20-year period.
