Conveniently working from the comfort of home has been a trending choice for the professionals. This way of operating leaves a negative as well as a positive impact upon the workers, employers and the institutions as well.
Opportunity to work from home, firstly helps the employees to save a decent amount of money and time on the commute by not traveling to their respective offices. This notion also results in protecting the environment by reduction in production of carbon-footprints because most of the employees usually travel either by a private vehicle or a public transport, but are inclined more towards their own bikes or cars for faster journeys. Moreover, the restrictions over dress-code do not apply for the individuals while working from their residence. Therefore, no kind of decorum is to be maintained while working unless a video call meeting is on hold. Additionally, companies save a lot from their management budget as the work premises are not operational , hence do not require much to maintain.
On the other hand, it seems like a great way of working but can be harmful for the future of the industry. This is because the overall productivity of the institutions can be greatly hindered as operating from a comfortable living space tends the staff members to get lethargic and become a lesser asset to their employers. Furthermore, the work relations will also be in jeopardy because of less contact and communication gaps which is another reason that can lead to the destruction of the institution because running a company requires eligible employees from different backgrounds and at various positions (like, technical teams, back-end support, front-end managers, executive officer and many more designations) to work together, however, the team-bonding cannot prosper online as much as it can at a physical work-space.
In conclusion, the professionals find it easier to work remotely as it saves them a lot of time and money and to work without any managerial surveillance or any other restrictions, but it also has its disadvantages that could brutally affect both the employees and their employers as well of the company.
