The table and pie chart illustrates the police budget for 2017 and 2018 in a particular area in Britain. The table depicts where the money comes from, and the chart shows how it was spent.
The table shows that National government contributed 17.5$m in 2017,and was slightly more in 2018 at 177.8$m. While local taxes provided 91.3$m in 2017, and in the following year it’s revenue increased to 103.3$m. Meanwhile,the money that other sources such as grants brought in both years was almost the same at 38$m in 2017,and 38.5$m in 2018. In 2017, the Total revenue was 304.7$m, which in the next year increased at 318.6$m.
On the other hand ,the pie chart gives information on how the money gotten was utilized in both years. In 2017, 75% of it was used on salaries which were more than what was spent in 2018 at 69%. But for technology, more of Britain’s income was spent in 2018 than in 2017 at 14% and 8% respectively. Furthermore, the police spent the same amount of money on building and transport at 17% each in both years.
Overall, more money was realized in 2018 compared to 2017. Although the same amount of income was spent on building and transport in both years, 2018 spent the most on salaries and technology.
