Since the rapid development of technology,Some of the technology can reduce crime effectively,however some of it could support criminals from their crime.I tend to prefer the progress of technology will help to reduce crime.
The development of technology makes it easier for police to catch criminals,it’s because more mature technology improves the technique of police to solve crimes or looking for criminals,for instance,a high definition monitor can easily identify criminals characteristic,and help to track criminals till eventually catch them,or some very precise fingerprints scanner to verifying who is the criminal,thus the chance of criminals escape will decrease and the speed of solving crimes will increase,such development of technology preventing people committing crime due to they think they can escape from the police.Therefore,when there are more and more those technologies being developed,the number of crime will decrease.
However,some of the new technology will become tools for criminals to committing crime,since the development of technology is usually comprehensive,many high tech tools are available for everyone,those tools can be use for committing crime,for example,there is a crime scene that criminal use a Bluetooth device to crack the owners car key to unlock the car and drive it away,this Bluetooth device is dismantle from a car key that can remote control which’s a new technology at that year.While high tech is widespread,more people can use those to implement crime easier,and because it make committing crime become something that is within reach,it will encourage crime.
Even if the development of technology does encourage crime,I believe in further development,those technologies that support crimes will be under police’s control,and at that time,high development of technology will prevent most of the crime from occurring.
