This chart illustrate the percentage of water for different means of use in six main part of the world. Overall, Agricultural use is the dominating force for water usage all over the nation, compared to industrial and domestic counterpart.
First of all, the chart indicates that the percentages of water usages were varied in some part of the world. For example, North America and Europe had quite similar result, as industrial use is the dominant reason (48% for North American and 53% for Europe), followed by agricultural in second and domestic use in the last place. However, another part of the world would mainly use water for their agricultural needs, in areas such as South America, Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia. It typically followed by domestic and then industrial at last. One exception is the South East Asia region, while 81% of water were used for agricultural activity, it followed by industrial needs by 12% and finally domestic use by 7%.
In summary, several areas in the world have their own ideas of water usage, hence the different variety of results regarding their own purposes of water needs. Agricultural use is the main reason for more than half part of the world. In addition, some region have similar way of usage in water for their own purposes.
