So, I work as a medical representative as I'm a recent graduate of pharmacy college. I remember a time when my manager told me that our products weren't achieving the required sales numbers. At first, we didn't actually know what the problem was or what the real cause of this was. But after some evaluation and rechecking, we came to realize it was related to the branches or the distributors. In my job, I deal with pharmacies, distributors, and hospitals. The problem was that the major pharmacies in my area were not actually following up with the distributors. Sometimes they needed some of my products but didn't ask for them from the distributors. At that moment, we realized that the products were actually of interest to them and were prescribed by doctors, but we weren't following up regularly, which is our duty. So, I devised a plan to follow up with these distributors and revisit them weekly, which would be four times a month. After this, the pharmacies' orders increased significantly as we began following up, and the numbers kept improving over time until we finally achieved the target required from us.
