The bar chart illustrates the proportion of internet users in Taiwan across four age groups between 1998 and 2000.
Overall, internet usage had increased among the youngest (under 15) and oldest (over 50) age groups, while it declined for individual aged 16 to 30 and 31 to 50 over the three-year period. On the other hand, the 16 to 30 age group consistently had the highest internet usage, despite its decreasing trend.
In the year 1998, the age group 16 to 30 accounted for the largest percentage of internet users at 53%. However, this data declined steadily to 44% in 2000. A similar downward trend was observed among users aged 31 to 50, whose proportion fell from 41% in 1998 to 37% in 2000.
In contrast, internet usage among the youngest age group (under 15) grew significantly, rising from just 2% in the year 1998 to 9% in the year 2000.
