The multiple-bar chart demonstrates how the figures for individuals from different age levels have access to the Internet changed in Taiwan, measured in percent between 1998 and 2000. Overall, it can be seen that the citizens who are under 15 years old and above 50 years old showed an upward trend, while the rest had the opposite trend.
As for the age groups that had a different trend, the percentage of the youngsters and older people started at around 4%, prior to rising slightly by about 4% to 8%, respectively over the span of 2 years in comparision to people who aged from 16 to 30 years old and 31 to 50 years old which made up 53% and 41%, correspondingly, and then decreased moderately by roughly 10% and 2% to reach 45% and 39%, accordingly.
In terms of the age levels that had small differences, the people who ranged below 15 years old and above 50 years old witnessed a slight rise of around 1% to finish at about 10% between 1999 and 2000, exceeding the proportion of teenagers and adults who declined in the same way with 44% and 37%, respectively during the period time.
