The bar chart given illustrates the Internet usage surfing habit of Taiwanese occupants from all ages, over a 3 year period, starting from 1998.
From an overall perspective, it is abundantly clear that the civilians who aged from 16-to-30 use the most Internet-related applications. It is also explicit that the kids aged under 15 use the least Internet.
Beginning from 1998, the Internet usage of teenagers and midlifers experienced a gradual decrease pattern, for instance, the people aged from 16-to-30 use up to slightly more than a half of the total proportion and reached an all time low in 2000, at about 44 percent. The same thing happened with the people who aged from 31-to-50, the figure for them also bottomed out at approximately 37 percent.
Whereas, for kids under 15 and elderly over 50 years old, the Internet usage experienced incremental figures, the numbers for the kids went from 2 and reached a peak at 9 in 2000. Synchronously, the statistics for the elderly started at 4 and double their figure in 1998, at roughly 10 percent, slightly 1 percent higher than that of kids aged under 15
