The diagram gives information about the percentage share of renewable energy in the total energy balance in three different years in four countries.
The influence of green energy in Scandinavian countries was the highest, at around 70% in Norway and 50% in Iceland. In Germany and Australia this share were significantly lower, at around 15% and 10%, respectively. The amount of renewable energy tended to increase over the years in all countries, but between 2004 and 2007 these numbers slightly dropped in Iceland and Australia. However, in all cases the state in 2007 was better than in 2000.
Australian energy market seems to be the most stable, where the difference between consecutive periods was no higher than 3% and German green supply grows linearly over the years. The biggest increase, at 12%, was observed in Norway after 2004 and the biggest decrease, at 6%, was in Iceland in the same time period.
