Dear John,
I hope you and your family are doing great. I got really happy when I saw your email, because I hadn’t heard from you for a long while. I am writing in reply to your request on some suggestions regarding the course that I did three years ago.
As you may know, I applied for a Genetics course in Hopkins in 2022, following the dream of continuing my PhD in biotechnology. I guess you can remember how satisfied I was when I received the news of getting accepted. It was a 2-year course, including some basic and advanced theoretical knowledge in genetics, in addition to a thorough hands-on experience.
Hopkins, one of the top-ranked universities in this field with pretty well-equipped laboratories, provides a great opportunity for the students to gain an excellent practical experience in performing genetic tests. On the other hand, learning under the supervision of well-known professors and experienced mentors can be a great help in your path toward your future career.
If you want to apply for this course, I suggest that you check the website, because I think the applications would open in late April. You have to submit a CV and a cover letter, in which you should explain your background and the reason behind your interest in this course.
I would be more than happy to help you prepare these files. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further assistance.
All the best,
Parisa
