Dear Maria,

I was very excited to hear that you are planning a trip to my home town this summer. I’d be happy to help you plan out your trip for the two weeks you will be here.

There are a number of hotel options in the area, closer to the city center but I would recommend finding a hostel near the outskirts of the city as they are significantly cheaper. I would be more than happy to help you find a place to stay while you are here. Furthermore, while you are here you must visit the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. They are the “must-visit” spots in the city and you absolutely must try the new Chinese restaurant. I have been raving about it all year!

As you will be in the city during the winter, it is really important to dress warmly. I would suggest packing cardigans or sweater and also having a pair of gloves on hand as the wind chill can make it uncomfortable at times. I would also advise against bringing dresses or skirts as they will not be very practical in this weather.
