The bar chart illustrates the participation levels of attendants in different age groups at performing arts events in Canada.
Overall, it can be seen that the 15-19 age group accounted for the highest participation levels in all of the performing arts events, except for classical music and opera, whereas the opposite was true for those who aged more than 60.Additionally, Professional concert and popular music was the most popular ones for all of the aged groups,whereas opera remained the least favourable attraction.
In terms of the 15-19 age group,nearly 48% of participants took part in professional events which was the highest participation level, followed by 35% for those who participated in popular music events while the attendance level in theatre was under 25%.Similarly classical music and opera events recorded the least favourable participation levels, accounting for both under 5%.At the same time, the percentage involvement levels in choral music and dance events were around 5% and 10%, respectively.
Concerning the 35-44 age group, around 35% of participants took part in professional concerts, followed by over 20% for those who involved in popular music events while approximately 15% of participants participated in theatre.Meanwhile, the percentage of people who attended classical music, choral musics and dance events were around 9%, 6% and under 5%, respectively. Opera events recorded the least beloved attraction with only 2% of participants.
Moving to the highest age group,they were attracted to professional concerts with nearly 25% of attendants and theatre and popular music events with the same attendance level, at over 15%.By contrast, attendance at choral music and popular music events was lower, accounting for approximately 10% and 8% respectively. While dance events attracted around 7% of participants, opera remained the least favourable activity for those who aged over 60, accounting for only 1%.
