These pie charts compare the proportion of income spent on different areas; housing, food, clothing, leisure, transport, and studies. The study demonstrates such a comparison based on young people spending habits in two different countries; Canada, and Poland. Data are expressed in percentage.
First, two major trends are emerging in these pie charts. While young people in Canada are more sensitive to share equally their spendings, conversely, young people tend to spend more on their studies and transport expenses.
On the one hand, to focus on the overall trend in Canada, the targeted audience seems to spend slightly more on leisure, here 20%. The second most field of expenses is clothing, 19%. Following leisure, and clothing, we find food, and housing, here are considered as each of them composing 16% of the budget advocated by young people. Thereafter, studies represents 14%, and finally here it comes to the least field of spending which is transport that reaches 14%.
On the other hand, if Canadian young people come to share more or less equally their expenses, it is not the case for young people in Poland. In fact the data show that the most significant field of spendings are studies, reaching 43% and followed by transport reaching 26%. In addition to that, the other expenses drop gradually. For instance, the share of clothing is depicted by 11% and leisure 10%. Food and housing are respectively at their minimal level by cumulating at 5%.
In conclusion, the data depict an overall trend which shows that people in Canada tend to spend more on leisure while others in Poland are more sensitive to spend more on studies.
