The graph below depicts the infrastructure and transport development of a village near London.
According to the map, there are two original main roads, which crossed at the northwest corner of the village in 1986, while the old population area was established behind the main road, and located at the west of Chorleywood Park. Moreover, trains became a necessary transportation in the 20th century. Therefore, a railway was built in 1909, which is located at south of the current Golf yard. Meanwhile, a specific train station called ” Chorleywood Station” was also established this year. During this period, this village’s landscape changed significantly, when this village moved to a new area, which approached the train station. In 1922, this village grew along the railway.
Furthermore, with the development of transportation, a motorway was built in 1970, which paralleled one old main road and crossed another main road at the northeast corner of Chorleywood Park. At the same time, five new areas were built on both sides of the motorway. Two of them are at the north intersection, while others are at the south intersection.
