The line graph shows information about immigration to three countries, namely the USA, Canada and Australia, from 1991 to 2001. The data is measured in thousands of immigrants.
Overall, the USA maintained the highest number of immigrants throughout the period, showing significant fluctuations. While Canada experienced a sharp rise towards the end, Australia showed a gradual upward trend and remained the most stable.
Regarding the USA, the number of immigrants started at 1,450 thousand in 1991 and peaked at 1,800 thousand in 1992. After that, there was a sharp decline to 1,000 thousand in 1993, followed by a continuous decrease to 750 thousand in 1996. The figures then fluctuated between 700 and 900 thousand for the remainder of the period.
As for the other two countries, Canada’s figures rose gradually from 200 thousand to 300 thousand between 1991 and 2000, before increasing sharply to 450 thousand in 2001. Meanwhile, Australia showed the most stable trend, with a steady increase from 100 thousand to 170 thousand over the entire period.
