The given graph illustrates the amount of time which young people in teenage years devote to different kinds of pastime in Chester for five years from 2002 to 2007.
It is visible that the obvious leader among those activities is watching TV where the numbers rose from 25 hours in 2002-2003 to almost 40 in 2007. The next thing is watching DVDs, where was a steady increase from approximately 12 to 18 hours for the first 2 years of survey, however in 2005 the number of hours decreased almost by half finishing the 2007 year with the number of 10 hours.
The typical activity for teens which is going to pubs or discos was about at the level of 10-12 hours per week, however the popularity dramatically increased in 2007 up to approximately 18 hours. Teenagers started spending twice as much time shopping in 2005-2007, than it was in 2002. Doing homework and exercising lost popularity and the numbers went down to barely 3 hours per week as for the second activity in 2007. And the time spent in bowling clubs stayed low and teens spent only 1 hour a week in 2007.
Analyzing the bar graph the conclusion that can be made is that teenagers in Chester had a tendency of staying at home consuming some visual content most of the free time during the week. And numbers of hours spent doing more active pastimes such as doing sports or bowling had a tendency to drop from 2002 to 2007.
