The line graph compares the sales of three different types of books (children’s, adult fiction, and educational) from 2002 to 2004. Overall, the sale of children’s books increased rapidly, while adult fiction witnessed a great fall in its sale.
Starting as the genre with the lowest sale, children’s books overtook adult fiction’s place as the most top-selling book by 2006. It had a 25% sale in 2002 which then escalate graudally to approximately 57% in a four-year period.
On the other hand, adult fiction had the highest sale in 2002 with 45%. However, by 2003, this figure dropped considerably by around 10% before increasing a liitle in 2004, then decreasing gradually to 30% by 2006.
In addition, educational books witnessed a moderate growth in its overall sale. Its figure fluctuated from approximately 25% in 2002 to over 30% in 2006.
Looking at the graph, while the sale of children’s books considerbaly increase and adult fiction greatly fall, the sale of educational books experienced a consistent growth.
