The given line graph illustrates the number of shop closures and openings in one particular country from 2011 to 2018.
Overall, it is obvious that in 2011 showed the highest number of shops opening in this country. However, in 2013 shops that closure showed the greatest number instead. Interestingly, 2014 was the year that both activities had a similar performance.
Focusing on new shops, the number of its experienced a noticeable decline, plunging from nearly 8,500 shops in 2011 to just below 4,000 shops in the next year. There was a rapid surge during 2012, the number was grew from 4,000 to around 6,000 shops by 2014 and then began to fell again in 2015 with about 2,000 shops. During 2015 to 2017 the number was steady with approximately 4,000 shops.
Turning to the closures, the number of shops that closed saw a fluctuation rise at the begining, and reached its peak in 2013 with roughly 7,000 shops closed. In 2014, shops that closed was decreased to about 6,000 which was fairly equal with new shops performance, before experienced a significantly declined in 2015 with around 500 shops. After 2015 its surged and grew to over 5,000 shops by 2016.
