The line graph illustrates the number of shops closed and opened in one country from 2011 to 2018. The data can be divided into two groups: before and after 2014. Overall, it can be seen that 2011 was the year with the highest number of shops opening, and 2015 was the year that closure reached its lowest point.
To begin with, overall before 2014, the number of shops opening was not as high as shops closing except in the beginning year. In 2011, the figure of closing shops began at 6,400. Then, it fluctuated and ended up in 2014 at 6,500. On the other hand, the number of opening shops started at 8,500 and significantly fell by 4,000 shops in 2014. After that, it climbed up to 6,200 shops in 2018.
In 2015, there were 600 closed shops. Then, it rose to 5,100 in 2016 and stabilized until the end of the period. On the opening side, the figure has declined after 2014 to 4,000 shops. It remained about the same until it dropped to 3,000 shops in 2018.
