The pie chart illustrates the proportions of nationalities living in Australia, while the table shows the percentages of people living in urban and rural areas.
Overall, native Australians made up by far the largest share of the population, whereas Dutch people accounted for the smallest proportion. It is also evident that individuals from all nationalities were more likely to live in cities, particularly Chinese residents.
In terms of the pie chart, Australians constituted nearly three quarters of the population, making them the dominant group. New Zealanders, Chinese people, and Dutch citizens together represented 6%, at 1%, 2%, and 3% respectively, which was slightly lower than the British figure of 7%. The remaining 14% belonged to other nationalities.
Regarding the table, Chinese people had the highest proportion living in cities at 99%, with only 1% in rural areas. This was followed by New Zealanders and British people at 90% and 89% respectively. Australians had the lowest urban proportion at 80%, while 83% of Dutch people lived in cities compared with 17% in rural areas.
