The chart presents the purposes for immigration to an European in 2000 and 2009. Overall, it varied up to 6 categories. An increase were seen in Definte jobs, Other reasons and the rest showed a decline throughout the period.

This number continued to soars in 2009, when it roughly doubled to 38%, remained the highest purposes in proportion for immigration. Other reasons held a modest number of 15% in 2000 and slightly increased to 21% in 2009.
Study purposes, despite it achieved a high statistical number in 2000 with 15%, it significantly plummeted to 7% in 2009. Family and Accompany reasons’ proportional number held a decline from 25% to 15% throughout the period. The reason for job opportunities showed the same trend alike No reason group with minimal number of reduction, from 15% to 13%. The lowest percentage in the group, No reason remained its status throughout the period with respectively 7% and 4% in 2000 and 2009.
