Overall, the space dedicated to exhibitions has been reduced. At the same time, the gallery has become child-friendly and more accessible with the installation of an elevator and a ramp.
In 2005, the gallery had a vast exhibition space: two smaller exhibitions to the right of the entrnace, one at the rear, and one, by far the largest in size, to the left. The far-left corner featured a café combined with a shop and a smaller gallery office adjacent to it. The stairs to the upper floor were also located in the rear – between the café and the 3rd exhibition room. The central area was occupied with a spacious entrance hall, where the reception desk was also located. The entrance to the gallery was through steps at the front of the building.
At present, the number of exhibition rooms has been reduced, with room 4 making way for a smaller room for temporary exhibitions and a larger space for a children’s interactive area. The other three rooms have remained intact. The café, as well as the office, have been removed entirely but the shop has been expanded and equipped with three vending machines. Access to the upper floor has been improved, with an elevator installed next to the stairs. Similarly, next to the original steps that’d take to the gallery is now a ramp that ensures acess for disabled visitors. Finally, the central area underwent insignificant change: smaller rectanger reception desk has been replaced with a larger oval shaped one
