The two plans describe the layout of an art gallery’s ground floor between 2005 and the present.
Overall, it is clear that significant changes were made in terms of the use of floor space in the gallery. The most noticeable alteration was the upgrade of infrastructure and the replacement of various facilities.
In detail, the general design remained unchanged, with the entrance, stairs, and exhibitions 1, 2, and 3 in the same place. The entrance and stairs in the present were narrowed compared with those in 2005; especially the entrance has been divided into two parts, including steps on the right and a ramp for wheelchairs on the left, and an elevator was added on the right of the stairs. These changes have become more convenient for people and have provided more access for disabled citizens.
Although the overall structure of the gallery in two different years is fairly similar, there were significant but important changes. In 2005, the cafe and shop were situated in the top left-hand corner. However, this has been transformed into a gallery shop with three wing machines lying outside in 2019. At this time, the temporary exhibitions and children’s area were constructed to replace exhibition 4. The reception desk, located behind the entrance hall in 2005, has been converted into a round area lying in the central area.
