The flow diagram depicts the procedure for plastic bottles recycling.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is apparent that the process comprises 9 stages with collectng and sorting bottles as =nitial steps and producing new products from former waste materials as an ending phase.
First of all, plastic wastes are collected in specialized bins for reycling, which is afterwards gathered up by workers and transported to the recycling centres by truck. After the bottles successfully delivered to the centre, the plastic is sorted into 2 groups: recyclable and non-recyclable. In the following stage the recyclable plastic undergoes compression into square-shaped blocks and is crushed into small pieces and falls in a reservoir full of water, where the bits of plastic are washed. Once the pieces are cleaned, they are turned into granules by the use of a machine. After that, the produced pellets are heated in high temperatures to form a material for future products. At the end of the cycle, these raw materials are used to manufacture various products, such as containers, plastic bags, pencils and even t-shirts.
