The table compares the proportions of household spending on three categories that is food, housing, transport in five diffirents nations: UK,USA,Japan,France,Germany in the year 2010.
Overall, it is clear that the data of housing was the largest proportion of speading in each country while the oppsite was true for transport.
In terms of housing, the USA recorded the highest figure at 40%, followed by Germany and UK at 38% and 35% respectively. While France and Japan spent a comparatively lower propotion of 33% and 30%. By contrast, spending of tranport was relatively modest. The USA again ranked highest at 18% whareas Japan recorded the lowest figure, at just 10%. The remaining countries spent between 12% and 15% on transport.
In terms of food, the Japan recorded the highest percentage at 25% while the highest rank at two others category is USA had the lowest propotion spent on food, at only 15%. Followed by Germanny, UK, France at 18%, 20%, 22% respectively.
