More than half of females, 51.4%, aged between 0-9 were bikers in 2011 while males also made up a significant portion of the table with 50.3%, just slightly lower than females. Among individuals aged 10 to 17, 42.2% of females stated that they rode bicycles, meanwhile males were represented with 24.6%, experiencing a big drop after the age 9.
While 17.1% of the women aged between 18-39 were bikers during 2011, only 9.7% of males rode bikes during the same period, and although females also experienced a significant drop by ages between 40-59 with 12.3%, males accounted for the lowest bike riding rate on the table with only 8%. Among individuals over aged 60 years, 18.5% of females and 13.2% of males rode bikes frequently in 2011.
