The two maps illustrate the changes of Rampart street today and the planned development by the year 2035. Overall, the street will be more focused on services and visitors in the future, a new entertainment and shopping places will appear instead of old buildings. At the same time, the road will designed less for cars than it is now.
At present, the street mainly consists of residential apartment houses with theatre, a hotel, and a number of public buildings, including embassy and a museum of architecture. There is also an art gallery, a food store and construction site. The old castle can found at the north end of Rampart street, while the road mostly uses by cars.
By 2035, several new facilities will have been added. The construction site will have been replaced by a florist’s and new buildings such as a restaurant, a pub, a gift shop and an exhibition centre will have been built. Furthermore, an open air exhibition space space will appeared to the north site of street, and a cycling path will have been created along the main road. As a result, a car traffic will have been reduced, while most apartment houses will have remained in their current locations.
