The diagram explains the way in which how rainwater is used and then transformed into the drinking water in a city of Australia.

Overall, there are four steps in the process, beginning with collection of water and culminating with filtration. All the steps are mandatory as if one step is missed, entire process would be halted.

According to the details, the rainwater is drained from the houses into the pipes. After that, the water is being filtered when it reaches the water filter. Following this, it gets transferred to the storage tank.

In the next stage, the water is thrown from the storage tanks through the pipes into the water treatment tank. In the subsequent stage, the water is treated with chemicals in order to get purified water. Finally, filtered water is transferred with pipes in homes so they can utilise it for drinking and cooking purposes.
