The maps illustrate how the Liverpool John Moores University changed between 2010 and 2016. Overall, the university modernized and became more entertaining with the introduction of IT Suite, a cafe and a lecture theatre.
In 2010, the university layout featured several academic buildings, including separate spaces for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Two car parks situated, one on the North-East side, and another on the South-West side of the layout. Also, a library was built on the North-West side of the map, which was accessible for both medical and engineering students. All the listed facilities were arranged around the Central Road, which extended beyond Administrative Building straight to studying facilities.
In 2016, significant transformation took place. Science buildings (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) were replaced by a single but larger Science campus where students could learn all the listed subjects. Additionally, a new IT Suite was constructed adjacent to the library and opposite to a brand-new cafe. In 2010, there wasn’t any lecture theatre in the university, and this was made possible later (in 2016). Other notable changes included the introduction of a footpath and the reposition of the admin building. Furthermore, both of the car parks were completely removed from the map to make way for a bus station, likely to encourage public transport system
