Clearly, the library has been updated to include dedicated spaces for events and now has an open space in the center.
Twenty years ago, to the left of the entrance, there was a reading room with newspapers and magazines, and to the right, there was an enquiry desk. In the old plan of the library, there are two sections: on the left, after passing the entrance, adult fiction books, and on the right side, adult non-fiction books. Also, there is a computer room which is provided with CDs, videos, and computer games. On the right side is the children’s book room. In the center of the old library, there are tables and chairs for visitors.
Nowadays, the floor plan of the old library has been significantly modernized. There is a computer room on the left, and a cafe where the information desk once was. Adult fiction has moved to the right-hand side of the room, and all reference books are now on the left. There is a smaller information desk with self-service machines in what was once the adult non-fiction section. There was a room in the back, left-hand corner that housed computer games, CDs, and videos, which have since been enlarged and now feature children’s fiction. It has a space with two sofas where storytelling events are held. There is a lecture room located in the back right-hand corner, where children’s books used to be stored. Tables and chairs were removed, and now there is a space in the center of the library.
