The line graph compares various types of transports in terms of daily usage by people in one country in two different years( 1985 and 2015).
Overall, its clear that bus was the most popular means of transport among people whereas train was the least common one. Also, while the figure for bus showed a decrease, that of train, subway, car, bicycle and foot exhibited an increase throughout the given period.
Looking more closely at the graph we can see that, in 1985, 60000 journeys taken by bus, making it the most common means of transport. The number of journeys taken by train was almost 5000. For subway and car it was approximately 15000 and 30000 respectively. As for bicycle and foot, the number of journeys was less than 10000 and 25000.
In 2015, the figure for bus showed a sharp decline to 40000 which is similar with the number of journeys taken by foot in the same year. In contrast, there was an increase in the rate of trips taken by train and subway reaching almost 10000 and 20000. With regard to car and bicycle, they also experienced a rise of 25000 and 20000.
