Overall, HP and Dell were the leading companies in both years, and both experienced growth. In 2006, HP had the largest share of the market at 31.4%, which increased to 34% in 2007. Dell also grew significantly from 16.6% to 20.2%, becoming the second-largest manufacturer. Acer, on the other hand, declined slightly from 11.6% to 10.7%. Toshiba showed a small rise in its share, going from 6.2% to 7.3%.
Lenovo’s share fell marginally from 6.6% to 6.2%, while Fujitsu-Siemens experienced the sharpest drop, decreasing from 4.8% to 2.3%. The category of “Others” also declined notably, falling from 22.8% to 19.3%. Throughout both years, HP remained the dominant company, whereas Fujitsu-Siemens consistently had the smallest share.
