The mixed chart below shows the percentage of life expectancy in 2008 and changes in life expectancy between 1996 and 2008 across four counties: Japan, Korea, U.S, and Indonesia.
Overall, it is clear that Japan accounted for the largest proportion of life expectancy, whereas Indonesia consistently represented the smallest share all over the period. However, Indonesia experienced the significant increase within a twelve year.
In terms of life expectancy, Japan showed the highest numbers, stood at 82,7%, while the proportion for Indonesia witnessed the lowest percentage, in 70,9%. The percentage of the Korea and U.S were almost similar with minor differences, made up 79.2% and 77.2%, respectively, in 2008.
Turning to the changes in life expectancy, Indonesia represented the significant improvements, the figures stood at 14.1, while the U.S showed the lowest figures in 3.2, over the 12-year span. In comparison, the numbers for Korea was higher than that of Japan, with 9.3 and 5.1, respectively.
