Overall, it can be clearly seen that Indonesia showed a significantly increase in life expectancy, nevertheless Japan had the highest proportion than other countries in 2008.
Looking first at the life expectancy in 2008, it is clear that Japan illustrated higher percentage at approximately four fifths. Whereas Korea and the US showed nearly the same, in Korea 79.2 and in the US 77.2, the difference was only 2 percent. In Indonesia the life expectancy was lower than other countries at nearly 70 percent.
Turning to how the life expectancy increased, Indonesia showed higher proportion than other countries at roughly less than a fifth. Meanwhile, Korea illustrated slightly lower at 9.3 percent. Japan rose the life expectancy presented just under 5 percent. Whereas the US showed the lowest proportion among countries at 3.2 percent.
