The pie charts illustrate individuals who played electronic games in South Korea in 2003. Overall, it is clear that people who were under 18 and male played electronic games the most, while action was the most common kind of game among players.
Regarding the age of players, people who are under 18 years old and young adults constituted a comparable and the highest proportion, at 39% and 38%, respectively, while the figure for people aged above 36 years old was the lowest, at above one-fifth. In terms of the genders of individuals who play computer games, the percentage of players who are male was at 72%, compared to that of counterpart, at 28%.
Turning to the type of games they are keen on, the proportion of action games was leading, at 43%, followed by that of sport, at one- fifth. The share of racing ranked third, at 17%, while the figure for the three remaining categories does not exceed 7%, with others being the lowest, at 6%.
