The line graph illustrates average SAT math points between male and female in a school from 1992 to 2000. It can be seen that, there was a growth in both boys and girls’ scores in SAT math between 1992 and 2000. In addition, boys’ students had higher point than girls’ students in SAT math over the whole period.
The period from 1992 to 1993 witnessed a moderate climb of 10 points from 500 to 510 in male’s SAT math scores. However, after this, boys’ results experienced a slight drop to 505 points in 1994 marked only decline by male’s students during the whole period. After that, a significant increase to 545 points was recorded in boys’ scores between 1994 and 1998. Males’ results remained constant at 545 points from 1998 to 2000.
There was an upward trend in girls’ SAT math scores over the whole period. It is clear that, the period between 1992 and 1996 saw a sharply rise from 460 points to 510 points in female students’ scores. Moreover, girls’ scores underwent a steady increase and attained its highest point at 530 in 2000.
