The maps illustrates part of a shalton village in 1910, and the same part of that village in 2010.
Overall, there were lot changes happened over the hundred years. For instance the large house had changed into a smaller residential area house. Furthermore, school road, high street, and London Road didn’t changed road side it was same triangle shape.
On the High Street side, there were two or three homes in 1910, but over the years, five or six homes have been built in that area. In 1910, the right side of School Road featured a school, a butcher’s shop, and a house, which have since changed by 2010, adding like a paking area, a bank, and a supermaket. Moreover, the post office remained at the same location on london road.
London road side had a lager home, a grocer, and a baker, By 2010, these had changed to was a cafe, and smaller residential area house.
