Overall, the Shalton underwent several urbanizations, with the most significant ones being the addition of new residential areas and the removal of green spaces.

On the northern edge of the High Street, a grocery, a building and a baker were then converted into a café and two bigger block, respectively. Whereas the on the southern side, two apartments were constructed between old buildings while these existing buldings were enlarged.
Regarding remaining area, the area to the west of School road also saw a number of changes, with butcher shop being turned into supermarket equipping with a parking , a building block was transformed into a bank. However, a school at the southern end of the road was reserved. Along the nothern side of the London road, a vacant land was later replaced by a row of houses while no changes were made to the post office in the east of the junction of two main road.
