Band 5: Task 1: The plan below show a school in 1985 and the school now. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The layouts illustrate some changes that were made to a school between 1985 and now. It can be clearly seen that the school is built up significantly to adapt the increasing in the number of students. The most noticeable change is the appearance of new learning facilities, exercise centre, and green area.

Looking at the left-hand side of the entrance, the office next to the entrance road remains unchanged while the library nearby is demolished to make way for the learning resources centre and the computer room. Additionally, the small car park opposite to the entrance road is removed and the classrooms is also moved to under the computer room. Moreover, the playing fields become smaller in size, making room for the new pool and fitness centre.

Regarding the right-hand of the entrance, the road connecting the car park at the front of the school to the playing fields at the back is removed to give way to the trees area. Furthermore, the 2 storeys classroom building is added one more storey, and the classrooms is built next to it.
