The pie chart displays data about the relative share of visitors allocated to each type of touristic attractions in Britain in 1999.
Overall museums ,galleries and theme parks attracted by far the largest ratio of visitors, about two thirds of total , divided in roughly equal share. Historic houses and monuments were the preferred choice of only 16% of tourists, while only a very small percentage , less than 10%, showed interest in wildlife parks and zoos.
Looking at the figures more closely, as it can be seen in the table, the primary point of interest for those who visited theme parks was the blackpool pleasure beach. This attraction was preferred by almost half of the tourist, while the remaining four attraction accomplished the remaining, with ratios not significantly different among Alton Towers and PleasureLand, ranging around 20%. Chessington World of od Adventure and Legoland were visited, by contrast, by only 10% of tourists
