Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that time by time, people in the UK started travelling more and more and the most popular country to travel was France. Moreover, the number of tourists came to the UK minimally increased.
In 1979, about 10 million people traveled to the UK and nearly 13 million UK natives had a tour. These numbers slightly climbed up and reached 30 million visits abroad from the UK and UK claimed the doubled number of visitors by the end of 1989.
