Throughout the year, more people are using YouTube and WhatsApp, while Facebook shows a decreasing amount of demand. Both Twitter and Instagram showed unsignificant change. YouTube and WhatsApp increased from 13 to 17 and 3 to nearly 10 million respectively. Facebook shows a gradual decrease, with each year losing roughly 1 million users, but still remains the second most widely used social media.
Twitter peaked at 2019 with 4 to 5 million users, none of the 3 years show less than 4 million users. Instagram shows a slight decrease in demand, starting at nearly 5 million to just over 4 million users in 2020, accompanying Twitter taking the spot of the least favourite social media in 2020.
